The Walkersize Workout is a walk-aerobic program incorporating strength & resistance training that has been designed for people of all ages and fitness levels, with a low degree of injury risk.

 
 

Philosophy

The Walkersize Philosophy is to offer a comprehensive exercise program that is safe, effective and fun.

Safe: It is a low-impact, controlled aerobic workout with a very low injury risk.  Routines are created with safety being the guiding principle. They are designed to be easy-to follow and modifiable, which further reduces chance of injury.

Effective

  • A comprehensive fitness program which incorporates:  aerobic conditioning,  muscle strengthening, and stress reduction techniques.
  • Modifiable routines are geared to the individual’s:  physical fitness level, cardiovascular condition, age, and strength.
  • High Participant Motivation/ Low Drop-out & Discouragement Factors because individuals follow instructor at their own pace and  program is safety-designed to eliminate pain and injury.
  • Fitness & Nutrition Education via handouts, newsletters and oral information by instructors adds to participants knowledge and ability to commit to a lifestyle of fitness.

Fun: A key component of our program is to create an atmosphere where people of all ages, body types and levels of fitness are comfortable enough to exercise in a group & enjoy working out!

To promote a healthy lifestyle to the largest segment of the population possible by providing a safe and fun fitness program to encourage life-long wellness. 

To bring balance to each member’s life by making the inclusion of exercise and its benefits (i.e., stress-relief, increased energy, improved cardiovascular health and muscular toning) a reality.

To promote the knowledge that commitment to a long-term exercise program is necessary to achieve desired results.  That physical activity benefits the body immediately on the inside and works its way to the outside.  External benefits exhibit themselves within a few weeks of consistent activity
